Mizuno “Inspire 4” Back again! It has been tough to get these, but worth the wait. The Inspire is just simple and stable. Not the cushiest, but cushioned enough and very light for how stiff and supportive this shoe is. Great fitting upper and looks good to. Inspire offers a moderate amount of pronation control and fits straighter in the arch than most other Mizuno’s making it one of the better fitting Mizuno’s for orthotic wearers. Like I said very simple. This shoe is light, stable and fits like a glove.

Mizuno “Wave Nirvana III” is their top model and for good reason. It’s light weight, fits well and feels comfy. That’s the word on the street. Out-sole: is durable carbon-fiber broken into parts to keep this shoe light and responsive. Mid-sole:is made of a plastic “WavePlate” that is sandwiched between firm .E.V.A. foam. The “Wave-Plate” unlike most Mizuno’s extends across the lenth of the shoe. This gives additional over all support, durability and stiffness in the fore-foot which has worked out nicely for long distance walkers as well as runners. The Wave-Plate is thicker under the arch to help control pronation. There is Mizuno’s “VS-1” PU/ EVA alloy-type material in the heal and forefoot to help soften the ride. There are 7 poles that extend from the “Wave-Plate” to the out-sole to maximize stability and durability. You can see them from the bottom of the shoe. Upper: is busy, but very functional and basically does one thing really well. Fits comfortably! All the materials used are very form fitting. Mizuno’s are flashy in design. From their bird logo to the many techy materials used on the upper you know this shoe means business. Conclusion: I must say many higher priced shoes simply do not live up to their price tags, this one does. Biggest complaint with this shoe is that it’s comfy, but $$$. The Nirvana is a light and responsive semi-low profile running shoe that fits snug and comfy. The Nirvana was designed to be their top shoe with all the comfort, cushioning and stability Mizuno has to offer. Job well done!

Mizuno “Wave Rider 10” is one of the most well regarded cushioned trainers ever made and for good reason. Out-sole: is durable carbon fiber broken into parts to keep this shoe light and responsive. Mid-sole: is made of a plastic “WavePlate” that is sandwiched between firm .E.V.A. foam. The “Wave-Plate” helps make the shoe’s torsional strength stronger with very little weight added. The E.V.A. foam is cushy, but not mushy giving the “Rider 10” and great smooth ride. There is Mizuno’s “VS-1” PU/ EVA alloy-type material in the heel for additional cushioning for all you heel strikers. Mizuno has added “AP” foam to full length of the shoe. This new material is lighter and more durable than Mizuno’s previous E.V.A. foam and can be found on most of Mizuno’s footwear.   Upper: consists of mostly soft mesh. There are a few overlays for support. The Rider 10 has kept its snug fit and with the soft mesh if has a semi-custom feel to it. Conclusion:  Mizuno has gone with the K.I.S.S. “Keep it Simple Stupid” approach. Why fix it, if it's not broken? The Rider just works. Fits snug, but accommodating, the ride is light and plush and it not too bad looking either.
