Nike “Zoom Elite 4” Not much change, in fact only two changes under the foot. New insole without the Met-pad ( pad under the ball of foot), I guess to many didn’t get it. The other change is Nike added the Nike+ spot for the Ipod sensor, which split the Zoom Air unit into two pieces. Women’s model seems to fit a tiny bit taller in the toe box compared to the Elite 3, otherwise the Zoom Elite is still super light wt., stable and fast. Great light wt. trainer or distance racer. Zoom Elite remains a store favorite and very popular model

Nike “Structure-Triax”

Nike “Structure-triax”
is what I believe we have all been waiting for…it’s about time Nike! Finally Nike is really coming up with some footwear that I can throw at all the anti-Nike runners with. Out-sole: is made of Nike’s Duralon a soft rubber & BRS 1000, which is a harder more durable rubber. It is cut up for improved flexibility, ride and wear. Mid-sole: is a big improvement from previous models. There is Nike’s Archbridge, Nike’s Footbridge and duel-density E.V.A. foam under the arch giving this shoe the most amount of support of any Structure to date. Nike has added their Rideliner foam/PU mix across the full length of the shoe giving this shoe fantastic cushioning. Upper: is snug fitting yet very accommodating. It has fit many runners from narrow to wide. There are minimal overlays keeping this shoe snug & supportive with little to no rubbing from stitching. Conclusion: We are very happy to say Nike is getting it on! From the minimal & techy upper to the solid build quality and support of this shoe many runners who have come to wear the GT-2100 and/or Adrenaline GTS just might what to reconsider. Especially those who listen to music…this shoe is IPOD ready!

Nike “Equalon 2” Do I hear winner? I believe I do because Nike has nailed this one. Especailly the womens version. Great arch support, very good pronation control, lateral support is greatly improved and the fit is awesome. Nike has included a stretch ring system in the forefoot that gives a simi-custom fit to the new women’s Equalon. It comes from the very successful Nike women’s Vomero a neutral cushion shoe. Equalon 2 is plus ready for Ipod users. I really like the balance of this shoe. The medial and lateral stability are both great, the ride is super smooth and the cushion is cushy without being mushy. I was hoping for a beefier Zoom Elite and that is exactly what Nike gave us. Yah!

Nike “Zoom-Vomero 2+” for the cushy-minded runner. The biggest challenge for most running shoes is to offer cushioning that keeps cushioning months later. Not an easy task. Nike’s Air Max 360 does it, but its $160 and has more of a bouncy feeling to its cushion. For runners looking for more of a smooth and plush cushion ride that is responsive the Zoom-Vomero may just strike the right path. Out-sole: is much like other Nikes with Duralon & BRS 1000 rubber, which gives a nice smooth, yet durable ride. Mid-sole: is made up of Nike’s ultra-soft foam and PU/E.V.A. mix material placed in high impact zones for durability. This shoe as with many Bowerman “Technical” series running shoes now has Nike’s Zoom air. Why? Because Zoom air has a more low profile design to it which keeps the wearer closer to the ground and being lower to the ground helps stability. Nike has included their Archbridge to add torsional strength to this shoe. Upper: is one of the big improvements from the previous model. Very plush and comfy. Fit has been very good. The women’s has two very techy stretch zones for the big & little toes. Makes for a custom like fit. Both men's & women’s have Nike’s Fitframe in the heel to improve heel fit and feel. Conclusion: The previous model was possibly the best reviewed Nike I have ever read and proved to be a big winner for us. The response with this new model is ever better. In fact the womens has been surprising. Nike has said that added durability to the cushioning was important in the design of this shoe. Unlike the Air Max 360 the Vomero is IPOD ready. If you like the Nimbus or Glycerin check out the Nike Zoom-Vomero…..Your welcome!
